Goodbye Urbino
I met my wife when she was working for a quaint retail shop on NW 23rd Ave in Portland. The shop was called Urbino and it carried a cool mix of Italian pottery, furniture from Bali, soaps and jewelry. It was always eclectic and never boring. The original store on NW 23rd was located across from Moonstruck where there is now a Lucky Jeans store. Urbino moved to the location across from Papa Hyden shortly after I met my wife. Well tonight we said goodbye. The store was empty and filled with people who had been involved with the business over the years. It was sad to see it go. It is still a small part of our family history.
