River vs Paper
A new Google Reader AIR application emerged today:

This application provides the traditional river of news approach to RSS reading in a very cool desktop package.
However, in a world of short timeframes and quick news consumptions would you not rather have this kind of view into your RSS news feeds:

Here you see a number of RSS feeds overlaid into a single pane of information. The graphics added by the bloggers give the stories texture and allow you eye to float over the entire subject space. You can quickly pick out articles which interest you, save them (if desired) and quickly move on to other topic spaces. In my mind the river of news style is obsoleted.
How To: Clean a Burned On Stainless Pan
Have you ever done this to your favorite pan?
Ugly!
Well, I learned this great trick from a cooking segment on TV. You take the baked on, burned on pan and put some water in it. Stick it on the stove on high and boil the water. You will notice that bubbles form on the baked on food and rip it loose from the pan:
Now, when you are all done boiling the water in the pan and giving it a scrape or two with a metal spatula (be careful not to splash yourself with the VERY hot water), drop the pot into a sink of soapy water and give it a bit of a scrub with a copper pad.
Voila!
